Day 1: Casablanca → Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate
Morning:
Depart from Casablanca early (around 7 AM).
Drive to Marrakech (approx. 3 hours).
Short stop in Marrakech for coffee or a quick visit to the Koutoubia Mosque or Jemaa el-Fnaa Square.
Afternoon:
Continue to the Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m altitude).
Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (famous for films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones).
Lunch at a local restaurant near the kasbah.
Evening:
Drive to Ouarzazate (known as “Hollywood of Morocco”).
Optional visit to the Atlas Film Studios or Taourirt Kasbah.
Dinner and overnight stay in a riad/hotel in Ouarzazate.
Day 2: Ouarzazate → Todgha Gorge → Merzouga (Sahara Desert)
Morning:
Depart for the Todgha Gorge via the Dades Valley (scenic route with rock formations).
Stop for photos at the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations.
Explore Todgha Gorge—hike or relax by the canyon river.
Afternoon:
Drive toward Merzouga (gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes).
Stop in Erfoud (optional fossil workshop visit).
Evening:
Arrive in Merzouga, switch to 4×4 or camels for a desert trek.
Sunset over the Erg Chebbi dunes (250m tall golden sands).
Dinner and overnight in a luxury desert camp (Berber music, bonfire, stargazing).
Day 3: Merzouga → Rissani → Atlas Mountains → Casablanca
Morning:
Sunrise camel ride back to Merzouga village.
Breakfast and shower at the hotel.
Drive to Rissani (traditional market town, optional stop).
Afternoon:
Long return journey via the Atlas Mountains with lunch en route.
Arrive in Casablanca by evening (approx. 8–9 PM).
